so how do you all like the Kenwood deck? Any problems with it?

I noticed some people on the forum mention Alpine and Eclipse. So would you recommend the Kenwood to others, or suggest looking elsewhere such as the names i listed?!

I have a picture of the stock radio removed here:

Buy the metra double-DIN installation kit for a 2004 Ford F150 from Circuit City. I got a wire harness to speed up the stock to kenwood wiring as well.

Does anyone have any photos of the screen while listening to the radio, listening to MP3's, or with the navigation system turned on? I've searched the internet for these screenshots, but they don't seem to exist online. If someone could post a couple I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,

I have the 6 CD Audiophile in my 04. I was thinking about getting the Kenwood 7015. I am loving the way the Audophile system sounds with the OEM speakers and the subwoofer. Can someone let me know how the 7015 sounds compared to the Audiophile? Does it use all the speakers the way they are used with the Audiophile(i.e. ambience, driver seat, all seats options)? Can I hook up the OEM subwoofer to the 7015? Like I said I love the way it sounds now but the no MP3 or Satellite is killing me. I don't want to replace the speakers and the subwoofer. Thankyou.

sorry, can't help with the audiophile questions as i don't have that option. But i would think it could be hooked up to this headunit.

I could explain some cool features it has but to make it easier check out this link. Also, on the right is a link for pdf file....it's the entire manual and installation manual for the unit. All the options it has is in there obviously!

you say you just want mp3/satellite, definately cheaper ways to go about this. But i take it if your looking into this, you want more than that!?

found out someone successfully installed the 7015 in his truck with the audiophile pkg. Said it worked fine, just took time to make sure what each wire was for and how to hook it up!

Thanks,

I know it can do alot more than the mp3/satellite stuff. I wanted the DVD capability & other options. The link you gave me has the Navigation packaged with it. I think you can buy the unit without the navigation. So I would probably go with that.

Thanks

The NAV is a $1200 or so add-on. That's why I'm waiting! The DVD rocks, plays DVD-R +R's fine too. Not tested VCD yet but should work too. The MP3 has ID3 tag support and all. It's a sweet unit so far. No regrets here!

I've tested a bunch of VCDs with no problems.

sorry about that, yes kenwood is making a pkg now which saves money for those who want both unit and nav.

DDX-7015 is headunit
KNA-DV4100 is the new nav drive, kna-dv3100 is the older one.
P-NAV7015 is the pkg w/both

here's link to just the headunit:

keep in mind, i'm just using crutchfield as asource for info.... look elsewhere to buy the stuff if you want to save money!

Ford Rear entertainment center/Kenwood GPS

Hopefully someone will be able to help.

Im looking to install the Kenwood Excelon P-Nav815 (includes KNA-DV4100 & KVT-815DVD) in a 2003 Expedition. Id like to install the system you all are installing but the 2003 Exp. doesnt have a 2 din slot.

Q1: Any clue if the Factory rear DVD player will still work?

Q2: How does the Kenwood Nav system perform?

I found a good deal for the package for $1588.

Thanks for any help.

Anyone familiar with this site:

http://thewholesalematrix.zoovy.com/...t/KENKNADV4100

They have the Kenwood NAV system add-on (KNA-DV4100) for $769.
