Running the antenna takes some time if your going to do a clean job and put it outsite the vehicle. The 04-05 150 has a plastic trim piece that runs along the winshield I have my XM running up one site and the NAV on the other. Other than that it's just hooking up wires. I like to shrink wrap everything so that took some time as well. I'm sure it could be installed in an hour if your not **** about the wiring like I am...

That is exactly where the installer ran my Sirius antenna. Right along the grove/rubber strip along the Driver's side window. The wire is pretty small so it looks very nice.

i just got my screw with the rear dvd and i was looking to put in the Kenwood DDX-7015 head unit. I am wondering how to get both to play the same video at the same time. and different videos at the same time.

I would image the rear DVD would have an RCA connection? The 7015 has 1 video out. You can use that. The headunit can send video to the output connection while listening to something else up front. It splits the front/rear audio. Not much use to me since I don't have kids but is a nice feature.

The camera that I got works great. The image is clear and I've had no problems with it so far. I'm going to be trailering my motorcycle down to Texas this weekend, so it will be nice to be able to look back to make sure that everything is tied down tight along the way.

Wiring Harness Number

I am wondering what the wiring harness number you guys used to install your 7015. I know that the installation kit is a Metra 99-5807 but I can't find the wiring harness number.

Could you guys look to see what the number is?

I read the thread and it doesn't mention 97-03's

Will this fit a supercrew with the 6 disc in-dash radio? Without Modifying the opening

I'd image if the stock radio is a 2-DIN. Then it should be cake.

Here's a link to some pictures of the camera install. https://www.f150online.com/forums/li...y.ten?id=12423
The camera is mounted to the left of the license plate. There's a hole in the steel bumper under the plastic cover for a stock back-up sensor. Just make sure to drill into the center of that hole when cutting out the hole for the backup camera.

A reply to Honeymoney, be warned as the factory rear DVD for the 04 will not work with any aftermarket HU. I have an '04 Lariat with Audiophile and factory rear DVD (got as a freebie) , installed the Kenwood DDX7015 with nav now I have a dead rear DVD. I have no complaints for the 7015, love this unit. Just do a search in these forums and there is a fellow called rambunctious who has valuable insight to the CANbus and aftermarket HU.

If any one has any input as to hooking up the factory DVD to an aftermarket HU, please let us know!

Merry Christmas All

Not a way to get an RCA off the factory DVD display so you can run it directly off the 7015? That sucks. Glad I didn't shell out the dough for that add on then. :|
