I'm 17yrs old and i'm juss starting to get into my truck and doing it all myself. My dad use to show me everything but he died two augusts ago so i figured maybe i could learn something off of here. Anyways i ordered a billet grill overlay to go on my 99 ford f150 off of ebay. They sent me some zip ties but it seems too cheap to use on tha installation? Anybody know how to install it?

Hey, welcome to f150online. I sure wish I could help you out, but I haven't installed one on my truck yet.

I would be a little hesitant about installing with zip ties too. I use these things in my job all the time, and they will all break down after a certain amount of exposure to the elements. They make UV protected zip ties, but they too will eventually become brittle and the tooth holding it tight will break.

Can you post some pictures of your inserts? That may help us, to help you.
