Post Roll pan & hidden hitch - can spare tire stay where it is?

I have heard both answers - Does anyone know for sure? That if you put on a roll pan and a hidden hitch you do or do not have to relocate the spare tire. I want a roll pan but can't do without some sort of a pull point and a little protection (hidden hitch). Thanks

Excuse my ignorance but what does a "roll pan" do?

54,
Isn't that what this board is all about, learning more about trucks!? How many people would have thought that but never had the b@lls to ask!?
A roll pan is either a fiberglass or steel piece that is used when the rear bumper is removed. Some have tailights in them, frenched license plate mount, plain, etc. I'm sure you've seen them before and just didn't know what it was called. Basically it goes below the tailgate between the two rear fenders for a nice clean look.
Hope this helps!

54,
Here is a pic of a 97F150 project vehicle that Sir Michaels has done. It shows a nice view of that roll pan.
