Red face AirForceOne Intake ??

OK, yea, i have been searching, but i'll throw this out anyway. I currently have an Airraid intake on my 02 4.6. After reading reviews and such, i am contemplating switching over to the AF1 system. I would probbaly just re-sell the Airraid on ebay or wherever i can to recover some cost. Just wondering if it's all the claims i have read or not. Not concerned with the extra noise. In addition, i want to add a cat-back, Magnaflow and eventually a tuner. Anyone have input, postive or negative on AF1? Thanks!

Everyone claims the AF1 is the best, with the Airaid right behind. But I think it would just be a waist of money to get rid of a perfectly good intake to put one a different one that adds maybe 5 more horsepower.

If your doing it for a performance standpoint, save the money and use it towards your exhaust or tune.

Im not sure if its a good idea in your case since the airaid is pretty good but they do offer a pretty good deal on a AF1 xcal2 combo. im tempted to buy a AF1 for my 4.6 also but all i have is the K&N drop in so i would see a better increase. but the best thing would be to call troyer to get a quote.

I’ve had an AirForce1 on my 04 since Dec of 04. No problems at all and a noticeable power improvement

I have no experience with the Airaid intake, but I'm very happy with the AF1. Good improvement in power and response and quality built. I went from the K & N FIPK, and there was a definite improvement...

Question

What effect did it have, if any, on your mileage?

Do they make a AF1 for a 95' 5.8 351 Windor?

Don’t know because I added it shortly after the XCal1 I had back in Dec of 04. I didn’t put it on expecting economy I was expecting power and it delivered. I don’t do to bad on mileage though, I get a solid 16 all local driving

I dont believe so. I had a buddy looking for an AF1 for his 95 5.0 and he couldnt find the intakes for anything older than 1997.
