Question Sun Shades

Does anyone has any experience with these? I judt purchased a universal one from the local Oreilly's and I am not completely pleased with the fit. Was wondering if any one has any expereince with this paticula one. http://www.performanceproducts4truck...283&pid=106483
Is it worth the extra money?

I don't have that one, but I did get one (extra large) from AutoZone. It really helps IMO. I have a black truck so it really cooks in the South Florida heat. I believe it is not as hot when I get in the truck with the shade up. Plus it will cook your dash. I would say def. get one. The link says that it is custom fitted so I would get it.

I got mine from Walmart.

It is a double fold out type with reflective foil on one side and flat silver on the other. It is square with rounded corners. they overlap pretty god and fits top to dash well. I got the large truck sized vs pickup size.

It folds about a plate size and tucks into the back pocket of the pass seat nice and neat.

$12 I think.

What DOES help is vent visors and to pop them open about halfway from closed to the bottom of the vents.

Visors and as stated above, the cheap-o sun shade. Temps will rise in there, block what you can from the windshield, tint the rest and vent it.

I agree, I get made fun of at work for mine, but when I get into my truck and its 10degs cooler esp. last week with 100degree and 120heat index, I dont care. PLus it prolongs the dash and keeps it a ton cooler.

Mines from BIGLOTS, the best place on earth, and I think I paid 10bux max. Perfect fit and I love it.
Cracking the windows and this thing and keeps it nice with a breeze.

I think they are all the same and do the same thing. I went with the cheapy ones from Wally World and have no problems. It keeps out the heat and protects my interior. Works for me.

I have that shade. It fits the 150 perfectly. It makes the truck pretty dark, and keeps it cool. Its a big deal here in Phoenix.

I give it a 10

So it does fit it perfectly. Thats what I was really concerned about. I know that they all will block the same amount of heat, but I was wondering about quality and fit. BTW, I am tinted and about to get some vents and maybe this shade.

If you like it buy it as long as you use it for what you want it for. I think either may keep your dash looking better in the long run. Either was, its gonna get damned hot, cheap or well fitting.

I had one with the cut outs on an older car. IMO the cut out for the rearview and the length was a hassle which is why I went with the dual popup shades.

I've got the Covercraft, and I think it is worth the extra money. It fits the windshield better, it doesn't droop in the middle, it folds flat and stays folded when you're not using it, and it's easy to fold and unfold.
