Lariat, I drilled an extra hole in the frame. I left the hole in the back the same and left that bolted down, then I moved the tow hook as close to the brushguard as I could then drilled through that hole through the frame just bit enough for the bolt to get through then stuck the bolt up in there. The tow hook is at a slight angle but I could use em if I needed to! Wear goggles while drilling though!

Cool, that's one way to go I guess. Got any good pictures so I can get a better idea? Some how my brain is still in "Free night/weekend" mode.

Lariat,

I used some Chevy (88-98 K1500) tow hooks that I found in a junk yard. Here's a pic with the PIAA airdam and exposed frame from the body lift. I didn't want to cut the lower airdam piece off to use the factory hooks. The Chevy tow hooks line up with the holes in the frame so there's no drilling at all. Either way, you can mount them inside the frame or underneath.

Question GSP Grille/Brush Guard Question

I think I was one of the first and few to purchase a Genuine Steel Products Safari grille/brush guard for my 2000 4x4.
I was wondering, has anyone come up with a remedy to keep the tow hooks? If so, please tell me. I can't come up with a good, worth while resolution. I was thinking 3" spacers and longer bolts, but then you really couldn't use the hooks (not like I'm ever going to anyway), but I paid for them , why not have them? Anyone???
Thanks.
