Post Headlight bulb upgrade

I would like to upgrade from the stock bulbs that come in the lightning headlamps to something brighter. I have looked through a few posts on here and seen gains with Xenon 9006 and 9007s but heard good things about Eurolight H7s and H1. Will someone please recomend bulbs that will fit this gear and really really brighten up the night sky.

Thanks very much
Jimmar

Jimmar:

You won't go wrong with the Piaa 9007's.

It is an honor to recieve a reply from the owner of "the truck". I will go for the Piaa lights. Keep the kill stories coming until I can get an L.

Thanks

The replacement headlight bulb for ours is the 9007. I've got Eurolites from Ebay for about $18. Beats the heck out of the PIAA prices and in a comparison I saw, the PIAA's aren't that bright or white.

You mentioned the H7's and H1's, I'm guessing you read some of my posts but those are in my Volvo.

I did put 9006's in my driving lights but that's not the bulb for them. The bulb is a 9145 but no one makes a super white or Xenon 9145. I had to really hack the crud oout of the 9006's to get them to fit the socket, but they work.

Eurolites may be a good start and certainly a good price. You can email this guy directly or bid for them on none of his auctions. He ships quick. Greg at zvs@worldnet.att.net

Cool

Check out my post in the Appearance Product section and judge for yourself. I've got both the Piaas and the Eurolites.

I was aweful tempted to take the superduty out there on the tallpines course and show those rice burners how it's done but they wouldn't let me past the little stopping point... damn cops lol. Serioulsy the rallys are sweet over 100 mph coming around a corner can't beat it.

The correct replacement for the 9145 is 9005, not 9006. I made the same mistake. I trimmed the light and bored the opening out in the housing and water got in. Bought new houseing bought the 9005's and the fit right in.
