go to tractor supply, you find a much better price than depot or lowes and wont be disappointed. all their boxes come from deezee. if they dont have one in stock they can order it and since it comes on their normal freight truck you dont pay shipping.

I second the Tractor Supply suggestion (They also have a much better selection in stock). I suspect the Kobalt and Husky are the same box and manufacturer but a different store brand name. This prevents Lowes and Home Depot from having to do price matches or meet-and-beat by 10%.

Another vote for Tractor Supply. They have quality tool boxes and a big selection. Pretty sure the Home Depot and the Lowe's are the same box. Not sure about their quality, but my dad had a Menard's (Mastercraft) one, and if they are anything like that they are cheap cheap cheap.

I have the kobalt (low profile) from Lowe's. I was torn between it and the tractor supply. I'm going to be a little different here. I think the kobalt is a much better box. Now I don't know how the full size boxes compare, but as far as the low profile one go, i would go with kobalt. The main reason I went with the kobalt was that it had a "lip" around the box so you can buy the optional tool trays. As far as quality i'm sure there both pretty equal. So my vote is with kobalt............but thats just my opinoin.

another vote for tractor supply. i have their box and i have no complaints. they do have nicer models of mine that have better weather stripping and heavier steel for a little bit more.

forgot to add, tractor supply carries a "weather guard" tool box. Its all black with red key holes and a weather guard label on it. It packs a hellatious price tag at 600$ but its completely water proof, theft prevention locks, the bars and shocks inside are covered so things you put in the box cannot damage the bars, shocks or locking mechanisms. It also has a plug in it which you can hook up a 12v cigarette lighter type power supply to. The box is made from diamond plate nearly twice as thick as the normal boxes they sell. if you can afford 600$ this box is well worth it.

(yes i work for tractor supply lol)
