Cb Radio

Hey im looking at getting a cb radio with a pa system. I will probably be using the pa function more than the cb so im dont want a really expensive one. I really like the Cobra 25 LTD http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=search and the Uniden PC78XL http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=search
Have any reviews on either one?

i use the uniden pro 520xl. works great. I've had this radio since 2003, and no problems with it yet. couple of ***** on there to tweak it out some. a good thing about this one is that it is pretty small, and works great. I use a Hustler HQ-27 antenna, and swr's are pretty darn low. range is excellent on this setup.

do you know how you plan on wiring it?

heres how i did mine:
-wired cb power to the power accessory wire coming on the head unit.
-PA just plugs in the back of your cb. so all you need to do is the wiring.
-antenae wire i ran thru the hole in the back of the cab cant remember if you have to take seat off (wired subs and cb all at same time). drilled a small hole in the plastic cap in the front of the bed to run the wire into my tool box. did a disconnect on the bottom of my tool box so i wouldnt have to have alot of wire laying around in my bed when the tool box is not on (gotta fit the dirtbike in occasionally or when im hauling stuff)

yeah my buddy has the cheap cobra pa with a 10w speaker and you can barely hear him. my other buddy has a really nice Uniden cb with a 50w speaker and it is loud. I really like the Cobra 25 LTD and i think i will hook it up to a 100w speaker from radio shack.

But ive heard that the cb only puts out 4v so it wont power the 100w speaker to its potential... is this true?
