E-fan wiring----Will this work...

i connected the ignition wire for my flex-a-lite efans like so: through the firewall (with my amp battery cable) and into my remote wire that goes from my stereo to my amp.

Will that be ok?

Thanks

Why didn't you just connect the ignition wire to the ignition?

Ignition wire

Where did the instructions say to hook it? My Troyers gave me a location in the fuse block under the hood.

Usually, in your stereo harness, there is a wire which leads to the ignition. Just follow it.

My Troyer kit had instructions to splice the wiring into the PCM.

Anywhere there is a key on power source 12v works. I ran mine and tied into an unused spot in my fuse block (underhood). Later when I installed the missing relays for the trailer tow pkg, I had to redo it, forget where I put it but I think I spliced the wire underneath instead. I guess anywhere a key on 12v is present is ok, just a signal basically.

I found my Troyer instructions and mine say to connect the ignition lead to the white wire with a blue stripe under the Power Distribution box. However, it also says any wire that is hot when the key is on will do, so you are probably good to go. As far as the white/blue stripe wire goes, yours may be different because my truck is an '03.
