Count me in.

I almost bought one this weekend until I found this thread. Hopefully, discount price will be good, webite says $429 plus shipping today.

After reading all the horror stories on the relays and stuff, I'm not sure if I really want the troyer fans. It seems like they are easy to set up and drop in. Arrrghh not sure what to do.

I'm undecided too now.

I was wanting E-Fans to take advantage of power gained by not spinning the factory fan when it's not needed, but all the stories of troubles with the controllers makes me reconsider.

I can't afford to have the truck overheating because the controllers have failed.
I like the mounting setup of the Troyer kit, and that it comes with wiring and the little bits & pieces.

The fans themselves seem to be reliable, but based on all the posts I have read on this and other forums, the controllers are an issue.

In my opinion, the cooling system is "mission critical" and MUST be dependable and fail safe.

No matter what the deal price ends up being, $400-500 is a lot of money if the controllers can't be trusted.

I would be in depending on price.

Would this apply to different engine sizes? I believe the UDP would be different. Could be wrong. The efan should be the same though, right?

First, I'm in for the fan kit and UDPs, depending on price, etc.
Second, check out this thread: https://www.f150online.com/forums/ot...ervices-7.html

Troyer responded to the controller issue last week in that thread.

Does anyone know if this group buy for the fans is going to happen. It seems like there is a lot of folks interested. You can count me in if it happens.

All I can say is that I purchased my Troyer E fan kit last year and have been running it fine with no problems at all. I even had a over ride switch installed in case my controllers ever fail. It is a nice kit indeed and if I had to do it all over again, I would!
