Ebay electronic fan kit

Been looking into getting some electronic fans for my 06 F150 5.4 for bit. Been following most of the Troyer Efan posts and other posts out there and decided for some kicks and giggles to try Ebay.

Found 2 kits for a reasonable price (though seems a bit TOO cheap)

Seems like a ok setup, though I'm just not sure about their claims in the description.

Site I found for their fans. No curves or graphs on how the fans perform worries me a bit. (didn't really look that hard + it's under constuction)

I'm still leaning towards getting some Troyer fans which I know will work and do my own electrical setup that way, but would still like a complete ready to install kit. Heard the 2010/11 F-150's Efans hook up to the stock 04-08 radiators pretty nicely. I may wait and see if theres an easier setup that way.

On a side note I noticed my wifes 99' Town and Country has a dual 14"/16" electronic fan setup when I changing her air filter. Might look into see how that is hooked up for some ideas. Didn't think it would have something like that.

Hello!

Your intial gut-feeling is correct - too good to be true - these are junk. And have been discussed here before not all that long ago...

Also, it said this - "This is an electric cooling fan conversion kit for 1985 - 1996 FORD F150 PICK UP TRUCK"

And, this is not true - " Pontiac Trans Am, Chevy Camaro all used electric fans with no shroud, mounted to the backside of the radiator that only covered less then half the radiator itself." Camaro, T/A efans are shrouded and cover the entire rad.

Want great fans and controllers? Go to www.spalusa.com

spend the extra money and get flexalite fans. They arent cheap (and have gone up nearly $200 in the last 2 1/2 years), but are worth every penny. you get what you pay for. as far as controllers, dakota digital has a killer controller out now.
