Put a cheap aftermarket walmart seat cover on your seats when you put your quad in the bed the first time. That way if you smash your window, you can pick the seat cover up like a garbage bag with all the glass in it and throw it away. Makes the clean up a lot easier. Ask me how i know.

I just pull it up till the back tires just clear the tailgate, just so the tailgate doesn't have any weight on it. Then I use two straps from the trailer hitch to the front tie down hooks. Then two straps from those two strap holes at the bottom of the radiator guard to the back two tie downs. Lock the brakes and she is steady as a rock. Tip- if you take the two straps that will hook to the front of the bike, hook them to the bike before you pull up the ramps, when you pull up the ramps the straps will be hooked to the bike already and easy to get to. That way you don't have to jump up on the side of the truck to hook them up.
Are you able to have the whole atv in the bed with the tailgate closed or do have the tailgate open?

I custom built racks that go across the top of the bed so I can load two 4-wheelers. Suspension does fine and its great because I don't lose any storage room underneath.

Well i just went out to see if my Brute Force 650 would fit in the back of my truck with the tailgate closed and no luck. It is lacking about 3 inches from closing. The truck is a 2010 extended cab short bed 4x4.

No I can't close the gate. Especially with my tires. With stockers I don't remember if I could pull in far enough to close the gate. But even if so it must have been to close for me to be comfortable with it cause I don't remember ever hauling with my gate up. Oh and I shoulda mentioned in the other post always use a good ratchet strap.

Try letting out a few pounds of air and run that thing up tight against the front of your bed, just put somthing between the deer pusher and the rear window so it won't break if you hit a bump.

I use 4 ratchet straps, leave it in gear with the brake on, the lower tie-downs in the bed work great. I put the tailgate down, ratchet tie it from all 4 bed corners to the center of the ATV frame, and park it 6 inches away from the window. Never a problem with it moving. I also use the tailgate to hold my sons Honda 50cc strapped behind the ATV. Best of Luck!

We used my truck at work to haul the quad to the shop. Wound up taking off the tailgate and the ARE cover. Lifted the quad (dont ask) into the bed and strapped it down. I have an 04 SCREW so the tailgate would not close with the quad in the bed. Strapped it down with 2 straps at the front tie downs. Solid as anything in there.

Posted pics in my gallery of a Kawasaki 400 in the bed of the SCREW. Had to take it for service, of course we used my F150. Took the tailgate off, and just used 2 ratchet tie straps to front of bed. Didnt move for nothing

If you have it firmly strapped down you honestly will have no problems. Get some tie downs for your truck and your good to go. My favorite part is loading my 660 in our super duty with 41" iroks
