well good to know i was tryin to turn it the right way, i used a tool when i put the udp on and it attached to an air hammer and i put the fan back on with a a lil while back and i guess that thing got it reaaal tight on there! I couldnt get it to budge, but then again i didnt have any extra hands either soo...

I believe the fan is 36mm but i could be wrong.

Steven if you wanna come by i'd be more then happy to take your fan off for you

Wow, that's really nice of you pat. Your an awesome guy. Where abouts in the dfw area are you located? Would it hurt to drive from your place back to mine without a fan?

ill have to get in touch with you seems like on that astounding offer, ive been soo busy lately, and after the fan was giving me a pain in the **** i just left the manual fan on for now but when i get a chance ill more than likely get in touch with you soon..

just rent an air hammer, with a flat chizle, us the chizzle on the edge of the bolt to break it loose spin it off should take no longer then 15 mins to chance a clutch fan on an f150

DON'T use an air hammer to hit the side of a bolt. you'll just ruin the bolt for future use of a proper socket or wrench.

The last time I changed the water pump I had the same problem . Autozone doesn't have the right tools.
I used the biggest set of channel locks I could find. Then I put them on the pulley and used a quick grip clamp to clamp the handles of the channel locks tight. Then I put the wrench on and gave it on good left hand pull, and it came right off.
