My 1998 F150 Flareside had a Ford emblem sticker on the tailgate which the previous owner removed. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement? The emblem was approx 16 inches wide?

You sure it wasn't a dealer sticker or something? This is all that belongs on the tailgate of a 1998 Flareside. I used to own one.

Not sure. The outline of the emblem can still be seen though it was removed. I have tried waxing it off but you can still feel the ridge where it used to be. Just below the tailgate handle. Seems it would have looked nice depending upon its color.

 

What was it? FORD written out, or the blue oval? An emblem or a sticker? Either way it seems as if it was something that the previous owner added and then removed. I've never seen any older body style F150 with an emblem like that.

 

the residue looks like it was a large sticker with Ford written out with an oval around it. Rather large. Color unknown.

 

do you know if the previous owner painted the truck? It is possible that it is a ghost emblem that was painted on.
