Go ahead man, it's your truck do what makes you happy. Most all trucks look good with a guard, 2wd or 4. Here are my 2 favorites right now.

I would imagine that the Frontier is pretty sturdy, but I think it looks badass. I know the Ranch Hand is a stout piece. I don't know the exact pricing for these, but they are pretty pricey.

IMO, the grille guard alone looks better than the brush/grille guard combo.
I purchased my grille guard from www.aztrucks.com

f150bluemachine - Grille Guard on 2wd?

Most trucks look better with a grille guard, reguardless if it is 4x4 or 4x2. Even if you dont go off road, it still functions well in a wreck or if you hit a deer. Go for it, I would!

my 2wd looks just fine and i think better without one. If you plan on keep it at ride stock ride height, or maybe go spacer up front, id say go for it, but i like the ones that look more functional, and look less like a thin chrome bars. Maybe i guess im with mgsalida on this one, grill gard, and not whole front end gaurd. and on the 04+ i really like i think its called a bull bar, where it basically comes up a foot from the frame rail, then comes back down, kinda just covers that void in the lower buper area.

Also look at Go Industries for a nice stout guard Called the Rancher.

Not your year, but heres my 2wd w/ brushguard. Of course, I have a 3" bodylift and 31" tires. And note that I have no idea what vehicle the guard was intended for(I got it for free from a friend).

Thumbs up

joschmo86,

I think it looks good with a grille guard, and free.....WOW! Looks like the older style of the Westin Sportsman to me. I bought a new one just like it for my '06 Super Duty and paid $450 for it. They wanted an extra $85 to install it, no I dont think so, thats what friends are for - you help them & they help you.

f150bluemachine,

Just like I said before - "Most trucks look better with a grille guard, reguardless if it is 4x4 or 4x2. Even if you dont go off road, it still functions well in a wreck or if you hit a deer. Go for it, I would!"

Go for it, I agree, could prevent from a little damamge in the case of a small collision, or getting a deer. I personally like all 2wd to look street, then again i'm making my 4x4 look street so i'm basically going the other way around of 2wd that look 4x4.
