2.73

Anyone ever heard of a 2.73 gears?
Sorry for the stupid question but my 95 XL is labeled that way.
It's funny, I bought the truck used with 120K on it. Several months later, I happened to be looking between the cab and bed and there's writing on the back of the cab down low that says "94" and then the other day I noticed some faint writing on my rear gear housing that says "94 F150 2.73". I know there's a 3.73 gear, but is there a 2.73?
Also, I'm guessing the truck has been in a big wreck before because of the parts. Either that or it's really a 94 -- which I doubt because the VIN, I believe, indicates a 95.

Kind of...
I bought if for cheap and the motor is good and it's dependable. That's all I want it for.

I don't have much to compare it to. It does get good mileage and is pretty slow in low rpm's.
Thanks for the info.
