Thumbs down AWD/4H/4L Switch Protection

I am interested in hearing from anybody who has come up with a creative way to prevent inadvertant toggling of the AWD/4H/4L switch (I have a 2002 EB EXPY)....In particular would like thoughts on a switch block/lock as I have already bumped it (without my knowledge) into 4H several times while operating on a conventional road surface.....I am supprised that the switch is not better protected/recessed/covered to ensure that the mode shift is a deliberate action rather then accidental..

Is anybody out their or aware of a fix??

Thanks !!
