Yep here we go....
into the shop next week ( having an operation so what a good time to leave it eh?)...The rear end is shuttering bad when I take off or come out on the street in a turn...got the 3.55 L/S and it's the plates slipping bad...I've heard that they did'nt put the limited slip additive in the '03 rears and it causing problems and thier solution is to soak the plates in L/S/A and reinstall..any input??

The stock auburn unit is in Motorcaft 75-w-140 synth and only requires 4 oz friction modifier. I think extreme noise from a factory LS lies in planetary gear noises. Friction modifier in large amounts is used to break in a new unit and greatly accellerates wear. Most synth rear oils don't even require friction modifier. You usually run without and I you have excessive noise, add it.
