rear end 2001
Can someone tell me if the pinion bearing is an oil bath or a packed bearing, 2001 F150. Have rear end noice problem hope replaceing the bearing is the fix.

The pinion has 2 bearings, both in rear-end lube.

Replacing the pinion bearing is no simple fix. I hope your noise is something simpler.
