A friend of mine has a 2000 F-150 with the V6/auto. Does the truck have the 9.75 rear end or a 8.8 rearend. I know my 03 Screw has the 9.75 and just wondering if the v6/auto had the bigger rear end.

I can almost tell you for certain that the V6 truck has the 8.8. I believe the only F150's that get the 9.75 are the ones that come with a 5.4. I think all 4.2 and 4.6 trucks have the 8.8. Hope this helped. Later.

Hate to state the obvious but....Look at it. If your's has a 9.75 (and you're sure) look at it and see if it is shaped just like yours. If not, it's an 8.8. 8.8's are round where as your 9.75 as you know is kinda oblonged on one side.
