When I come to a stop in my '00 F150, there is a dull poping noise from the drive system. I had 2 dealerships work on this problem and neither fixed it for good. The first dealership did fix the noise for some time. They said it was occurring when the slip end of the drive shaft was entering the female spline. The greased the joint and the problem was gone for about 6 months and then returned. The second dealership said it was a normal "truck noise" and I shouldn't worry about it.

It is an annoying noise that I would like to go away. Anyone have any experience on this issue and how to correct it????
