the stock LS sucks in my opinion, but it might be fine for you, i am going after max traction, i have a auburn gear LS in my 9.75 and it greatly outperforms the stock LS

OK, I went crawling around under my bro's truck and saw the tags on the diff. Now I cant find the paper that I wrote the numbers on, but I think it had an "88" somewhere in it and a "3014". So that probably means 8.8 31 spline as expected of a 4.2L V6 auto F150 4x2.

*Couple of ?'s requiring short "Yes or No" answers*

1) I couldnt find a differential drain plug. Is there one?

2) Is the filler plug on the drivers side facing the front of the truck?

3) Is there a drain plug on the ATF pan? I didnt see one there either.

4) Can I siphon ATF from the filler tube rather than dropping the pan?

1)No, drop the cover.
2)Yes, but it faces the driver's side.
3)No, 1st drop is a good time to add one. B&M/drill a hole.
4)Tedious at best. Drop the pan, examine, replace filter, and add a drainplug.
