draining fluids, help
ok, i am gonna drain fluids. i am kinda new to this so dont hate............too much.
i have a 2001 F150 4x4 with the off road package. i wanted to change the differential, transmission, transfercase, and steering fluids.
My quiestions are what fluids do i put in these areas, how much do i put in, and roughly what price is it a bottle?
Thanx in advance.

I would suggest you go to your local auto part store and purchase a maintenance manual. I got mine for Hoss (97 F150 4x4 OffRoad) for $16. I have found it to be a valuable tool in my garage. They are pertty comprehensive and should be able to answer most basic questions. Go get one, I know it will help.
Good Luck!

If you submerge your differential under water you need to change it ASAP! Milky oil and gears dont get along very well!
Oh,and I flush the brake fluid every 20k miles or every 2 years!

Even though synthetic rear end lube has extended drain intervals, it does degenerate and become dirty from wear.
