Unhappy Bronco Driveshaft

I bought a 1986 ford bronco fullsize 4x4 automatic for $500 and the transmission was cracked. now my rear driveshaft were it connects to the transfercase makes a clicking noise each time it makes a full rotation. Please help i know its not an f-150 but its pretty close.

A little more info, please. You have a double u-joint at the front. Have you tried raising the rear tires off the ground and putting it in gear to isolate the noise? Try it in neutral, with 4x4 engaged(not with the rear off the ground) See if you can do something that changes it and then you can truly isolate the cause.

Check all the joints and especially the center yoke between the two front u-joints(called a double-cardan joint) it has a pin and roller bearing set up.

The double cardin is probably bad. Had the same problem on a friends truck. Most driveline shops can rebuild the whole shaft(new u joints, double cardin and they paint it all nice and pretty) for aroun 100 buck or so.
