Weird... I'm not sure what to tell you...

In an effort to help, I'm going to move this thread up to the other powertrain forum where there are several folks that are very versed in all aspect of the powertrain system... Hopefully they'll be able to help out.

No engine response or the engine revs and the vehicle remains neutral?

When i shift from any gear to drive i step on the gas and get no response not even higher rpms, so i let off the gas totally and then push it down and it works.

If it's an 03, you HAVE to get a response, otherwise it means that the cable is broken. If it's an 04 with the electronic throttle control, it could be a bad pedal position sensor or a bad motor on the throttle body.

If it's an '03, I'd wager to say it's not possible. Operator error, maybe, but otherwise not possible.
