ls differential options

ls differential options

have a 95 f150 with an 8.8 rear end. would like to install a limited slip diff, and am wondering what to do. get a used ford one or other aftermarket. any ls diff's to stay awayfrom?? thanks

The Ford Traction Lock is a good unit. Just be aware that Mustang 8.8 TL units won't fit a truck due to the axle spline difference. You may be able to get the whole axle assembly from a salvage yard and save the cost of getting the gears set up.

I have had in the past a couple of Chevelles with the 12 bolt eaton posi units and they worked great, very smooth until you need them.
