Some people have claimed it took 2 treatments with additive to get rid of the chatter. I filled mine with Royal Purple with no additive, and haven't had any problems.

I've let mine go, started about 8-10K and now at 18K it seems to have "broken-in"!?

Royal purple HAS the friction modifier in it already. That's why it worked.

After adding the friction modifier, it may take as long as a couple hundred miles to go away.
