Creaky Cab/box

Good Afternoon,
I have an 01 f-150 extend a cab and am trying to figure out where the creaking is coming from as i go over uneven ground or when first starting off. Can anyone shed some light on this mystery or have you encountered it also.
Cheers
Katt

Katt,

I had a similar issue with a Ranger pickup. It would creak over every little bump. Mine turned out to be the rubber mounts that go between the cab and frame and bed and frame. I bought an aftermarket set to replace the factory mounts. It wasnt cheap, the kit was around $200 - and it did stop the creaking.

Lay under the truck near the frame and have someone lift or rock the body and see if you can hear where the noise is coming from.

Good luck,

Jim
