Thanks for the recommendation of Auburn LS

I had the clutch-version of the Auburn Gear limited slip put in two weeks ago. Took it out that day turkey hunting. In the mud that was worse than ever. The hunting spot had endured a steady rain for several days. It wasn't sloppy, it was SOUPY. A real mess. But the LS did great. In the past, when my open differential would spin the right rear tire, the truck would fishtail until it would something to stick to. In those same places, it lunged forward. 4 Wheel Parts did the install. $728 total. The manager said that when it kicks in it will feel like the truck wants to go straight. He was exactly right. It never fishtailed once.

Thanks to all of you who recommended Auburn. And it feels good to by an Indiana product as well.

...and what gear oil are you using - standard or synthetic? I've got a Auburn ECTED and am curious what others are using in their LS.
