cv halfshaft or cv joint is going out

Turning left the front right cv joint or cv halfshaft (whatever it is called) is clicking. How hard are these to replace? Do I just un-bolt from the back of the hub and slide it out of the diff and reverse to put in the new one?

you will take off the center cap on your wheel if you have one and take off the hub nut, then you will take off the 6 or 8 bolts that hold the half shaft to the diff and then just slide it out the hub, pretty easy

What size is the hub nut? I can't remember the size I heard it was once before. Is there anyway to check half shaft? I have a popping/click but it's both on left and right turns. It sounds like it's from the front left but who knows since I (the driver) obviously sit on the left side.

Im not sure what size it is, I pulled my wheel off the other day to check the cv boot to make sure it was not split or anything and I noticed that the lugs where somewhat loose. I broke 2 of them loose by hand and the other 3 took very little pressure with the lug wrench. When I put my tire back on I havent had the noise since.

Well, I wish mine was the lug nuts, but it's not. It's something up front there....

When you get the 1/2 shaft, what comes with it? EVerything you need? I assume you re-use the 6 bolts. Do you need to pop the ball joints?
