Changed Rear Bearing seal and ?
I changed the rear seal (drivers side) and now have a vibration when I take of at normal speed. It goes away fairly qiuckly but very noticeable when I take off. There has been a new axle and bearing replaced on this side aprox-3 months ago. What could this be? Never vibrated before.
Thanks 99 f150 xlt 8.8 rear end

I put it in and after sealing the pumkin went and tried move the tire in and out a little and it did move but just a little. the other side doesn't move at all. I will have to operate again and check to see if it did come out somehow. I pulled on the tire real hard but will not come out. That is what bothers me.
It's an easy job so back at it again.
Thanks
will let you know.

IF THERE WAS AN AXLE AND BEARING REPLACED 3 MONTHS AGO THEN WHY ARE YOU REPLACING THE SEAL AGAIN? SOUNGS LIKE IMPROPER BEARING INSTALLATION IN THE FIRST PLACE. MAKE SURE THE BEARING DID NOT SCORE THE AXLE. IF THERE IS ANY PLAY IN THE BEARING, IT WILL DO EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE SAYING. IF THE AXLE IS SCORED AT ALL THEN YOU WILL HAVE TO INSTALL AN AXLE SAVER. (BY THE WAY, IF THE C CLIP CAME OUT OF THE AXLE THEN YOU WOULD ALREADY KNOW IT) 3-WHEEL MOTION! HOPE THIS HELPS...LET US KNOW.
