99 F150 4x4 not working at all! DOA

Question 99 F150 4x4 not working at all! DOA

99 F150 ..has the turn **** electrical 4x4. when I turn the **** nothing happens! Its like the turn **** (switch) is dead itself.. I checked the underhood and underdash fuses and everything is fine also checked that the **** is getting voltage and it is.... what now? where else should I start looking?...i assume by nothing working at all, it is an electrical problem but I appreciate all the help

I have that same turn **** on mine. You should see indications on the instrument lights that it is in 4x4 mode when you go to 4x4 mode. The Gem module is what controls it all. It energizes the clutch in the transfer case and so on.

That is what I am saying...when I turn the 4x4 ****, nothing happens... the four wheel drive does not engage and nothing is indicated on the instrument panel.. the **** does nothing..

what it worth

Had this problem once with my bronco someone else can chime in but could be the motor that runs the T-case. Very common problem with bronco push button 4X4. Just something to look at

how would I check the motor to see if its working? anything else besides the t-case motor?
