Sporadic vibratio/shubber from rear end
My truck seems to have a sporadic vibration/shudder from the rear end..
This occurs almost always after the truck has been driven for a while(long highway trips),or been under a heavy load(pulling trailer).
Never happens when truck is cold,or normal city driving.
Do not notice it at all at any speed, just when initially starting out from a stop.
May be worse when turning at slow speeds/from a stop.
The U joints are all OK.
This leads me to believe there is an issue with the limited slip.
I've read about rear differential getting contaminated and causing something like this.
I've also read something about clutch packs needing to be installed.
Very hard to get it into a dealer when it is such a sporadic thing.
I'm thinking about changing the rear diff oil and seeing if this makes a difference.
By the way the truck is a 2001 F150 ext cab 4x4 7700 package.
Any ideas please!!

Mine just started doign this as well. More noticeable when I give it moderate gas and when turning or hauling a load of over 3000 pounds. Once I get rolling its fine. Had a leak in the Seal and had that fixed they added a quart of differential fluid w/o modofoer so maybe thats my problem...???
