u joints

i know there have been many threads on this but i wanted to know for sure. what is the easiest way to do u-joints. im fulltime working and full sime summer at the votech which were doing electrical so i cant bring my truck in. Im planning to do it on a day off but its my only form of transportation so if i start i have to be able to finish. is the old socket and c clamp trick the way to go for this? its a 4x4 2000 so i plan on doing them all. roughly if things are smooth how long am i expecting. im doing it in my parents garage (60miles away) so all i really will have is sockets and basic basic hand tools. no auto zone or anything to rent tools around me either.
