Today when I left my apartment complex i heard this awful sound of metal dragging on concrete, I stopped my truck and found nothing at all. The sound comes and goes when i'm driving straight at about 5 or 6 mph. It also squeaks like bad brakes when I turn the wheel. I have never heard this sound, and it wasn't there when I parked my truck, but started when I pulled out of my parking spot. I did a search and found information about the pittman needing grease, but the metal sound dragging on the pavement is a little uneasy. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

wooo, nevermind. I called my dad and he said it might be a rock caught in the brake rotor. Then I recalled that they just laid new asphault down on the highway by my apt. and put large rock gravel all on it. The sound finally quit.
