should my truck make more noise in 4x4 its wo sound it sounds like a bad tire but it only does it in 4 wheel drive you get over say 30 or 35 mph it gets loud

 

No, it should not make that much noise.

When was the last time you checked/changed the transfer case fluid?

Did you give the front drive shaft a shake? was it loose?

 

i have a bad halfshaft right front were it is goes to the solid axle it is leaking do you think that is it, Its not real loud but it makes more noies than in 2 high it sounds like a bad tire or a off road tire on the freeway this is my first 4x4 the olny place i have in 4 high is on pavment but i was going straight what do you think

 

if the transfer case is low what kind of oil goes in it
