Maximum 4Hi Speed

What is the maxiumum 4hi speed? I know you are supposed to engage it under 55, but is it rough on the drivetrain if you take it above 55 with 4hi engaged?

Indeed. Engage and disengage below 55, drive it like ya' stole it afterwards.

I ran 77 in the snow once, just to see what it would do. (it was light snow and there was no one on GA400 and thats a big wide azz open expanse of road)

I usually don't run it above 35-40, if you need 4x4 you shouldn't be going faster than that in the first place.

only use 4hi where traction is limited. or your t-case will pay the price. personally i dont use 4hi on the highway unless its to bad to be goin over 60mph anyways.

Drive it as fast as you dare. If your truck is stock, odds are that it will top out at 98-100 mph. Like Joe wrote don't be switching modes above 55.
