A few questions...

I've been reading and searching on how to figure out what trans and rear end I have. I've figured out that I have the 4R70W (code U) with a 3.55 gear (code H9), but I can't figure out what size the housing is. The charts I've found would say that it is the 10.25, but I thought that would only come with the 4R100. It's a 12 bolt and isn't shaped like the Ford 8.8.

If anyone could help that would be great. Or if you have a link to something I may have missed while I was searching that would be great too.

Count the number of lug nuts on your wheels. If you have 5 with a 5.4 your rear diff is a 9.75. If you have 7 regardless of the engine you have a 10.25.

yes with the 10.25 rear axle you have 7 lug front and rear on the 7700lb package. On 97' thru 99' was called 250LD, 2000' and 2001' called 7700lb package for F-150.
Or something close to that.
