FWD wouldn't engage

FWD wouldn't engage

I did a search on my problem. THANKS TO Joe, JMC and bullsey670 I traced it to the engagement solenoid. Problem solved. MUCH easier than following the Ford manual.

FYI
"FWD" means FRONT-wheel drive. "4WD" is what your truck has.

can you point me in the rite direction? i'm having the same prob. my transfer case is engaging but the front hubs won't lock in??? i checked all my vacume lines, didn't find any leaks or other problems......

THANKS!! will it make a diff. that my truck shifts into 4WD electric not on the floor??
