Cool

Look at the metal tag attached to the dust cover on your axle. The code tells you what gear ratio and axle you have. Mine has:

373_975_8k23

3.73 ratio, 9.75" rear

If you see "ls" in the code, you have the trac-lok limited slip, if not, open diff.

Perry,

It's a 3.55:1 non-limited slip.

Question gear ratio

How do I go about determining the gear ratio of my F150? It is a 98 4.2L 5 speed manual.
On the door jamb of the drivers side it has an axle code 19. I purchased it used with
12k miles on it, so I do not have the window sticker info.
Thanks
Perry
