how many qts?

2001 F150 Screw 2wd, how many qts of rear diff lube do I need.

Also, to confirm, ford calls for 75w-140 full synthetic correct?

correct on the fluid and it takes just under 3 qts if you have the 9.75, and about 2.5 qts if you have the 8.8, if you have the LS than you will need to add about 6-8 oz of friction mod.

ID the rear end

Thanks for the info on the gear lube. What is the easiest way to ID the rear end I have?

By the door sticker, and there's a tag on the rearend also.

What engine do you have? If it's a 5.4, then you have the 9.75 which also has 12 bolts on the cover. If it's the 4.6 or 4.2 then it's the 8.8 and it will have a 10 bolt cover.
