I finished installing my locker yesterday and today I put it to a test. It was a PowerTrax Lock Right locker, and so far I am very satisfied. I tested it on a few hills that have a clay slickness to them. I was very impressed and am glad that I finally did it. It was fairly easy to assemble, and I meant to take pictures, but I covered myself in diff fluid when I accidently droped the cover pan into the oil :-(

Come back in a few weeks and give us an update. This is one of those that you assemble inside the existing carrier right (aka a "lunchbox" locker)?

 

Yeah it is a "lunchbox locker" but I won't be using it for very much mudding. Basically just needing it when I go out hunting or hauling a hay wagon around on the farm. I was tired of one wheel spinning out in the field and am hoping this will help me out.

 

Are these fairly straight foward to install? Did you have any alignment issues with the pinion gear or pre-stressing the bolts?
