Exclamation throttle cable

well today i was at work. i had just loaded all our trash into my truck (in the rain) to take it to the dumpster. well i got in and started her up, as soon as i hit the gas, the peddle went to the floor. the throttle cable snapped. so i ran to autozone in the rain and bought a cable stop thing and made a ghetto rig to keep in on long enough to get home. well the cable is too short and its making the truck idle really high. how do i go about putting a new cable in? is it hard?

might have to hit the dealer for this one. i had one snap on my dakota and universal kit just didnt work right. had to get exact cable from dealer. especially with all the throttle sensers etc.... there not that hard to install.
