diff. plug???

diff. plug???

i cant get my rear diff. pug out. somehow it has gotten seized in there and the square hole is now round. and ideas as to the best way of handeling this situation???
i mean plug by the way.

Soak it in penetrating oil for a week or so, then drill it & use a GOOD extractor.

...just like any other threaded part that strips out.

well, it's a pain but the extractor is really the only way to go... unless you want to buy a new housing...

Eh, just drill another hole in it and use one of those rubber plugs that Dodge uses.

if the extractor doesnt work, drill another hole. u can use a marine plug, basically a nut and bolt with a thick rubber washer that expands as u tighten it. any hardware store will have it.i stripped a oil pan drain plug one time."thought i was loosening it when in fact i was tightening it" plug worked. no leaks.
