I just bought a 97' F250 HD 42k miles and on the highway the steering seems real loose. By this I mean that it tends to drift from bumps and wind more than it should. I realize this truck does not have a stabilizer, otherwise I would try replacing that first. Someone told me that you can tighten the steering gear. I have the Chilton's repair book but that do not talk about doing this in there. Has anyone done this and do you folks think this will help?
