Door Tag???
Hello,
I am new to your site and new to newer fords. I have owned many fords before, but nothing newer than an 89. Until now.
I recently purchased a 2000 f-150 5.4 for towing my 4x4 Tacoma around.
I searched your site and did get some info about what the door tag states.
But could someone point me in the direction to get the full info off the door tag?
My main concern is the rear dif. My tag states h9. I see that many state that to be 3.55 with LSD. I was looking for the source of this info.
Thank you for your help
Jerry

Thank you guys
That helped.
Now to pick your brains some more.
I have a 2000 f-150 sport. I want to use this truck as a tow rig.
What are the diffrences between the sport and a normal f-150, other than the 17" wheels?
Is the towing capacity the same? I am some what concerned that the rear suspension is not rated as high as a normal f-150.
Thanks again

The big thing will be the options. Engine, transmission, tire size, rear, tow package, GVW, etc. Not model .Check the owners manual for capacities. If you do not have one, you can download one at www.motorcraftservice.com in the owners manual section.
