Where do I find a rear-end?

Looking for a good, reputable rear-end seller. I have no need for installation (can do myself) just looking for a quality Sterling 9.75. I will call around to local shops, wrecking/salvage yards, etc. but more just wondering if anyone produces these things new? or improved? Thanks everyone!

Try www.accuautoparts.com. They sell remanned rearends as well as quality used ones. Just go to the axle/gears section, put it the vehicle info and choose an axle.

If you can find a new one, it'll cost at least 4x what a used one does. And what improvements do you think it needs?

Yeah I just checked it out and rebuilt ones are over $2200. Used ones with just new seals are $1700.

I can get a good used one (nothing replaced) for ~$1K and shipping would be a LOT less than $700. Probably around $300. If you can't find one locally, read this post & then e-mail me.
