T-Case problem
To start out, I just had the e4od trans rebuilt at 196,000 on my 97. Before I took it in I pulled it up on ramps in my gravel drive in 4WD to check the electrcal connection on the trans. Trans shop said the torque converter was the culprit and replaced/upgraded and rebuilt the rest. After taking back for a leaking pinion shaft seal I realized I have no 4WD.
Electric SOF, no responce, no indicator light.
Electric connection is hooked up. Trans guy say's "common on Fords, beat the solenoid like you would a starter"
I use it often and as I mentioned it worked two days earlier!
Fluid did not get low as I noticed the leaking seal when I got home from the shop and topped off. I will pull and clean electical but is there anything else to check out. I thought I read of a vacum line as well, I've had several other vac lines go recently, AC related mostly.
Any suggestions much appreciated.
